Bridgetown Pool Demolition and Waste Removal

Leeuwin Civil was contracted to complete the demolition and drainage of the old Bridgetown Swimming Pool.

Works involved removal of an existing 750mm diameter concrete pipe work and unstable/unsuitable soils beneath the existing pipe work. These were replaced with blue metal bedding incorporating a new subsoil piping system and new 750mm concrete pipes.

Challenges included alignment of the existing manholes to tie in with the new pipework; and subsoil, due to the close proximity of the building, which required the use of trench boxes for the pipework installation.
